Payment and Insurance

To enable us to provide the best standard of care for your pet, we require modern technical equipment and the most effective drugs available.  Whilst we endeavour to keep our fees reasonable, they have to be realistic and reflect the level of care that our staff are providing.    If you are worried about cost we will be glad to give an estimate* before commencing treatment.

We do ask that payment is made at the time of consultation or treatment as this keeps administrative and financial costs down, these both affect our fee levels.

The practice accepts most major credit and debit cards including American Express and cash.  From 1 June 2007 we will only be able to accept cheques by prior arrangement and these must be supported by a current valid bank card.

The Practice also runs a practice plan to allow the cost of routine vaccinations, worming and flea treatments to be spread over twelve months.    Being on the plan also entitles the owner to a 10% discount on all other treatments and goods purchased in house from the practice for that pet  (terms and conditions apply), please ask for the practice plan brochure at reception if you are interested.

We also recommend pet insurance to help cope with unexpected bills.  Proposal forms are available at reception. Petplan insurance may be taken out at the surgery where you can benefit from the first month premium free.

*ESTIMATES An estimate is based on the expected cost of treatement at the time of admission or at any other time on request.  A estimate may be exceeded when further or alternative treatment or operative procedures are considered necessary in the best interest of your pet.  When your animal is hospitalised, we recommend you ask regularly for updates on their ongoing treatment and any change in costs involved.
